Iwashiro Province

Lua error in Module:Nihongo at line 88: attempt to call field '_transl' (a nil value). is an old province in the area of Fukushima Prefecture on the island of Honshū.[1] It was sometimes called Ōshū (奥州).[2] The history of the province started in 1868 and ended in 1872.

History[change]

In the Meiji period, the provinces of Japan were converted into prefectures. The maps of Japan and Iashiro Province were reformed in the 1870s.[3]
