Zim is an unincorporated place in McDavitt Township, St. Louis County, Minnesota, United States.[1]

Zim got its name from a nearby lumber camp of a man named Zimmerman.[2] Nearby is the "Sax-Zim Bog", one of the world's best birdwatching places.[3] It was named for the two nearby, mostly uninhabited, towns of Zim and Sax.[3] Every February the habitat hosts a three-day festival for birdwatchers.[3]
