The western capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus), is a member of the grouse family. It is also called the Eurasian capercaillie, wood grouse, heather cock, or just capercaillie. It is found across Europe and the Palearctic. It is sexually dimorphic. It is a least concern species.[3]
