Visva-Bharati University is in Santiniketan, West Bengal, India. Rabindranath Tagore started the university in 1901. Visva-Bharati University combines Indian traditions with Western influences. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs. The curriculum promotes interdisciplinary studies.

According to Best Global Universities 2020 ranking by U.S. News & World Report, Visva- Bharati ranked 27th among Indian universities.[4]
