Fonts[change]

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority uses two types of fonts for the symbols that represent each route. The two fonts are called Standard and Helvetica.

To display a symbol that uses the Standard font, type {{NYCS symbol|R}} to display: The letter R on a yellow circle
To display a symbol that uses the Helvetica font, type {{NYCS symbol|R|Helvetica=yes}} to display: The letter R on a yellow circle

To display The number 1 on a red circle, type {{NYCS symbol|1}}
