"conveyance" is the action or process of transporting, not a vehicle, but conveniences are things that make life easier and more comfortable. Different dictionaries give different definitions like: "expensive and luxurious" and "ostentatiously costly and luxurious". And the word "ostentatiously" makes a big difference. current
