Sovetsk (Russian: Сове́тск; German: Tilsit;[3] Old Prussian: Tilzi, Lithuanian: Tilžė; Polish: Tylża) is a border city located on the banks of the Memel in the Kaliningrad Oblast, which borders Lithuania. When it was part of Prussia and later Germany, it was known as Tilsit.
