Serapis

Serapis was a Greek-Egyptian god in ancient Egypt. Serapis was worshipped in the Ptolemaic period, when Egypt was ruled by Greeks.[1] He was invented to be the patron god of the city Alexandria, Egypt. He is based on a mixture of Greek and Egyptian gods, so that people from both countries would like him.[2]
