  • File:Symbol delete vote.svg Delete The first hit on google - us. every other hit as a 16 yr old actor who OD'd.. Picked a ref to check (Forbes 30 under 30 - #9 ) and it didnt even mention Forbes.. So people care more about a dead bit part and there are lies in the refs.. nope, not today. Pure Evil (talk) 00:35, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
I did find some mention of him but it's all primary sources and original research. It can't help us here. fr33kman 05:53, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
Dear @Pure Evil yes "Logan Williams" search result shows news coverage of teen actor. Yesterday I saw Logan Williams page. Some one removed all content and redirect it to Flash movie page. Flash movie page did not have any mention about Logan Williams (actor). So, I added him in cast section. There are very much coverage about Logan Williams, actor. I will try to remove redirect and restore Logan Williams page with news coverage. At my end "Logan Keith Williams" shows result about subject. Further, I have removed Archive link of No.9. Now at No 9, there is official website page of Forbes. There are other link also mention this like University of Canterbury link. Hope you will reconsider your vote. 30 under 30.. in Asia.. in Industry, Manufacturing & Energy. So we are just to pretend he is in the real top thirty when he is in a subset of a subset? Why are we not being honest with the readers? If we say he is in the top thirty, people expect he is in the 30. They are not expecting semantics with him in a subset of a subset of the top 30. Just because what was said is "technically" correct does not mean it is not being deceptive. Pure Evil (talk) 22:50, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
Dear @Pure Evil I am totally agree with you. We should be more honest when we say about awards. Actually I followed, what is happening on Wikipedia. See Issa Rae, in her page it is written "Forbes put her in their 30 Under 30 list in 2013 and 2014". But on her profile page shows "30 Under 30 - Hollywood & Entertainment (2014)". I have found Marly Gallardo's page, which should be followed in this regards. There is mention "She was a 2020 Forbes 30 under 30: Art and Style award winner." I have changed page. Thanks for point out this mistake. J.FlanaG (talk) 00:02, 29 October 2023 (UTC)
In the case of Rae, if what is on our page was all she had, she would be up for deletion too. Thing is, she is much more than that decade old article says. We are talking multiple Emmy and Globe award noms, NYT Best selling author, roles in multiple well known movies (2 of 2023's biggest movies - #3 Spiderverse and #1 Barbie) - No question that she is notable.
Gallardo got the award named correctly. And it is by a Castilibrary2 editor, we tend to give that school a lot of leeway on notability. AGF to the max there.
In Williams case, the Forbes list is one of the strongest pushes for notability and its value is very questionable at this level. The fact that it was the one I picked at random to check and it failed (twice) does not help. Pure Evil (talk) 03:37, 29 October 2023 (UTC)
  • Strong Keep: Logan Keith Williams is notable in many ways. He is also an Academics. According to Wikipedia:Notability (people) for Academics "The person's research has made significant impact in their area of study, as shown by independent reliable sources." His one innovative method to convert Didymosphenia Geminata (rock snot) an invasive pest algae destroying waterways into paper, bioplastic, and fabric, is used to eradicating Didymo across several rivers in New Zealand. This fact is verified from www.stuff.co.nz and The University of Canterbury website. Another fact is verified from www.nzherald.co.nz. According to en:Wikipedia:WikiProject New Zealand/Sources these both sources are considered reliable. This page have about two dozens sources. Hope you will consider all links. Further I have removed more text which could seem advertise and add stub tag. THANK YOU ALL--J.FlanaG (talk) 21:54, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
  • File:Symbol delete vote.svg Delete Exaggerated promotion. Right in the first line. Graduate student, not professor. --Gotanda (talk) 22:08, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
