The outcome of this request for deletion was to File:Symbol keep vote.svg Keep. This is a listing of such incidents. No idea if the listing is complete, or accurate. What I can say though: Not being written well is no reason for deletion. So, again, this is a keep.--Eptalon (talk) 10:02, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

40.138.163.231 has nominated this page for deletion for the reason: This list includes a lot of unsimplified, non-notable or unsourced hacking incidents, Also, A lot of the mentioned incidents should have their own article (most don't), I really don't think this article should remain on the wiki. 40.138.163.231 (talk) 23:50, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
Please discuss this request below, but keep in mind that you shouldn't vote on everything and that there may be options other than "keep" or "delete", such as merging.
Discussion[change]
- File:Symbol keep vote.svg Keep I don't think any of the stated things are reasons to delete the page. I do think, however, that it needs to be cleaned up because many of the things listed are not incidents. For example, the releases of movies about hacking are not themselves security hacking incidents; neither is the publishing of the first issue of Information Security, or many of the other things included. Someone seems to have added anything they could find that was related to hacking, whether or not it was an incident. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:59, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- Something else I noticed ia that a lot of the content is copied from the English Wikipedia if you check the older versions of the page from the history.

- File:Symbol keep vote.svg Keep Deletion is not cleanup. I do agree that the article does need to be cleaned up. Bobherry Talk My Changes 00:09, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- If you check that link I put up there, You can see that the writer clearly copied old revisions on the English Wikipedia, amd added extra content 40.138.163.231 (talk) 00:13, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
