Eptalon has nominated this page for deletion for the reason:A short blurb on a person who also has an EnWP article. The article we have is very short, just a few sentences, and has references. Bringing this to RfD, to get other input on this person's notability. If I look at the EnWP article, this person died on the 5th of May, less than a wek ago. - Kashmir has been an issue between India and Pakistan since the Partition of India in the 1940s; the countries have fought several wars because of it. So for the community to assess: is this person notable, according to our guidelines, and secondly, is the article we have in a shape that it could theoretically be kept? File:Symbol comment vote.svg Comment: If I search with that exact spelling on Google ("Ashraf Sehrai"), I find en:Ashraf Sehrai, amongst others. Note however: this is just a pen-name, like many people in the area, he was called Khan. Also note, that since this is likely transliterated, there are spelling variations. The Kashmiri language seems to use three different scripts; Urdu uses yet another. EnWP doesn't have any interwiki links. I'd expect to see articles about the person in local Wikipedias. I find reports in Al-Jazeera, the Economic Times, The Indian Express, amongst others. --Eptalon (talk) 09:43, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
