Discussion[change]

  • Delete. In general, pages on events in the future cannot contain the specific information which would make them noteworthy. The enWP page on 2013 Atlantic hurricane season and 2013 Pacific typhoon season redirects to 'Lists of tropical cyclone names'. (Notice the correct use of 'typhoon' for the Pacific) We could use the same technique here. Macdonald-ross (talk) 07:38, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
  • We students at the University of Northern Iowa created this and 2013 Atlantic hurricane season pages for the reasons of being prepared early rather than doing so late. The articles for these subjects are not predictions of any kind. Furthermore, we highly recommend the articles be kept rather than erased.     • Being prepared and coming in handy? Prepared and coming in handy for what? This is an encyclopedia, and it is not the function of an encyclopedia to prepare people for things. That is more the function of a magazine article. I can see how those two things could get confused here, since we sometimes call our entries "articles". --Auntof6 (talk) 08:10, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

  • Strong delete - The only content on that page is the list of names, and we already have that at Lists of tropical cyclone names. Amazing that no one remembered that article sitting around. Chenzw  Talk  11:38, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
