Recent accounts writing about obituary rumours

We have some new users writing about obituary rumours by removing existing references and converting articles to a BLP. The 1st user is blocked as WP:ONESTRIKE, 2nd user is blocked per behavior overlap. The 3rd user is working on a different article, but they are using similar edit summaries ("info/details about health", etc.). MathXplore (talk) 05:20, 17 August 2024 (UTC)

The 1st and 2nd user was working on Alan Turing, the 3rd is at Heath Ledger. All of them aim to change the "Death" section to a "Rumours about death" section, and they conclude them as alive without any references. MathXplore (talk) 05:22, 17 August 2024 (UTC)

This is based on Special:Diff/9734315. The 1st user made Praveen Kenneth with the help of the 2nd user, and the 3rd user has recreated this as Praveen K. James. Please note that both the 1st and 3rd user tends to blame people tagging QD as a vandal. MathXplore (talk) 13:49, 28 August 2024 (UTC)

Sockpuppet Editing With IP

The sockpuppet who was personal attacking me [1] is back with a IP and started making disruptive edits again. If their IPs are different then they are either using a VPN or are meatpuppets.

  • Both the blocked socks and the IP users are editing articles related to Indian History. [2] [3] [4]
  • The IP has never made any edits to Simple Wikipedia nor in any other Wiki Project before the sockpuppet got blocked. [5] [6]
  • Both the blocked socks and the IP User is targeting me. The only edit which one of the IP Users made is just in support of the sockpuppet. And just like the sock he targeted me. [7] [8]

Ritesh Hada accounts

I would like to note that several users including a blocked user is around the (re)creation of this article. The 1st user is the initial recreator, the 2nd user recreated and already CU-blocked by user:Fr33kman, and the 3rd user is the latest creator. Can this be block evasion ? I would like to note that we have many new accounts around this subject. The 1st user is the author of the article. 2nd user has edits only at the article and Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2024/Occams Advisory. Fake account vanishing related to w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Truthfindervert

The 1st user who is suspected in w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Truthfindervert has used account vanishing to delay SPI actions. After the vanish, the 2nd user has appeared with a similar name as the 1st user. User name hard block has been applied to the 2nd user per w:Wikipedia:Username_policy#Misleading_usernames. Once confirmed, please switch the block mode to CU-block mode.

Tom bahi

The 1st user (Tom bahi, TB) is locked as xwiki linkspam. I have reverted many of their edits including here and itwiki. After the lock of the 1st user, Zaman digiaventus (2nd user, ZD) appeared on the abuse filter. I have reverted TB's link addition to itwiki (it:special:diff/140825162), then ZD has reverted the edit and restored the link (it:special:diff/140826040). How does ZD know about TB? Can they be related? Please also note that both make similar tiny edits (w:special:diff/1233626912, w:special:diff/1242561352, they might be aiming to gain edit counts for auto-confirmation). Ghana Music Awards USA accounts

I assume that the 1st and 2nd users are related to each other via the overlap at Ghlagatin. The 1st user is named after Ghana Music Awards USA and they were working hard on w:Draft:Ghana_Music_Awards_USA. The 3rd user was working hard on Ghana Music Awards USA. I checked all four, there's no direct overlap of addresses. What I do see though, that of the four IP4 numbers, at least 2 match (giving 65k addresses to play with). In the case of GMAUSA, Impeltravels and Ghlagatin, 3 of thr 4 octets match (bringing them as close as 256 addresses). MichealBlison looks unrelated (there only 2 of the 4 octets match). After I reported user:Alan Charlotte (AC) to w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/HinduKshatrana, a new user (user:Haseeb7867, 1st user) has appeared in the south Asian content dispute.

Personal Attacks & Disruptive Edits of Socks

  • I have already created an SPI on them on English Wikipedia and got many of their socks blocked from which they were continuously disruptiving wikipedia 1
  • I have also received multiple personal attacks from them on English Wikipedia 2, 3, 4, 5 and now they also started personal attacking me on Simple English Wikipedia 6
  • Now they have suddenly joined simple wiki to do disruptive edits on my articles and constructions I've made on simple wiki. 7, 8, 9
  • This all applies to that they are trying to take revenge on me for getting them blocked on english wikipedia and deleting their articles (on english wiki) which fully relies on Orginal Research, Synthesis of sources, etc which violates the guidelines of Wikipedia. 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 Based Kashmiri (talk) 08:30, 16 August 2024 (UTC)

User talk vandals

Brandon38Wynn45 adds random talk page meessages that were reverted to User talk:Johannnes89 and User talk:Iggy the Swan. They were reverted. Then this new user, Daisy65Burton13, went and reverted the reversion of the edits. Their usernames also very similar. --Cactus🌵 spiky ouch 11:54, 7 August 2024 (UTC)

TeraBox and Sloth Mafia accounts

The 1st user has a spam username block. The 1st to 3rd user is involved in TeraBox, and the 4th and 5th user is involved in the enwiki draft version (w:Draft:TeraBox (cloud storage)). The 5th user is the latest account and appeared after the block of the 1st user. Can so many accounts appear in one page during a short term?

Also the 5th user made Sloth Mafia, and please note that w:Sloth Mafia is made by a user (w:User_talk:Frket#Speedy_deletion_nomination_of_Sloth_Mafia)) who is believed to be related with w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/TheCaseOfGoliath that includes the following simplewiki registered users:

There are also locked accounts in the enwiki SPI, but they are not registered in simplewiki. However, this suggests the concern of possible lock evasion.

Please check new user Yourpritamgmailom with PritamMondal2022 who was blocked here in May 2024. This is a account that quickly edited an IP article creation here (Pagal Premi) which features Yash Daasguptaa which tends to be a focus for YP socks. On enwiki, Yourpritamgmailom created w:Pagol Premi that is this article. The user name is similar to previous socks w:Category:Suspected_Wikipedia_sockpuppets_of_Your_Pritam. I'm reporting 2 users involved in WP:NOT (w:WP:NOTWEBHOST) user page issues. Their user pages look like similar tone/script that would not be a draft for simplewiki articles, and please note that the 1st user made the user page of the 2nd user (special:redirect/logid/2782027). I would like to report a new account (Alan Charlotte, AC) that has similarities with Hcsrctu (2nd user) and Hashid Khan (HK, 4th user). The 3rd account is already CU-blocked with the 2nd user, and their relations are explained in w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/HinduKshatrana.

The 1st similarity I noticed is the edit summary style. AC is using a rollback-like edit summary in their first move in Chandel (special:diff/9662551). The 2nd user has used rollback-like edit summaries many times (special:diff/9646542, special:diff/9641299, special:diff/9641294, etc.), and they also have interests in Chandel (special:diff/9540320, special:diff/9511013). Would different users start using similar edit summaries in similar topics in a short term?

The 2nd similarity that I found is proxy revert requests around south Asian topics. The 2nd user previously made proxy revert requests (special:diff/9511013) for Rajput, Rajputization, and Chandel. AC already made a new proxy revert request (special:diff/9672467) for Rajput toward the same editor. Would different users request revert for a same page toward a same editor in a short term?

In addition, special:diff/9672467 requests the restoration of special:permalink/9631362, when the change of Sarcastic kshatriya (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log)) (SK, alternative account is $arcastic kshatriya (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log))) has been reverted. This implies that AC is part of the content dispute between SK and other users/IPs partially including the 2nd user (Special:Diff/9631799, Special:Diff/9632800, special:diff/9545962, etc.), and I already blocked an IP range that repeated over-reverts, etc. [12] and the estimated master (4th user, special:redirect/logid/2765016) that usually fought against SK. Also, AC has used {{uw-vandalism2}} against another user that they confronted in a content dispute (User talk:103.46.201.196, special:redirect/logid/2777978). Labelling opponents in a content dispute as vandalism is a similar style already used by the 2nd user (special:diff/9541417, special:diff/9540312) and the IPs possibly connected to the 4th user (Special:Diff/9631799, Special:Diff/9632800). The data in the simplewiki dB shows no overlap between accounts or IPs. As such we'll have to block for other causes or take the word of the enwiki CUs and the stewards. I have no problemsing either. fr33kman 15:28, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
