Manhwa (Hangul: 만화; Hanja: 漫畵; Korean pronunciation: [manβʷa]) is a Korean-language term for comics. Outside Korea, the term usually refers South Korean comics. The term is similar to the Japanese-language term manga.[1] It is also not to be confused with manhua (Chinese: 漫画) the term for Chinese comics, nor manhoa, Vietnamese comics.
