Kafr El Sheikh Governorate is a governorate of Egypt. The capital city is also named Kafr El Sheikh. The governorate is located in the far north of the country on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
Kafr El Sheikh Governorate was once part of the Gharbia Governorate. It was created in 1949.
