Jeremiah Denton

Jeremiah Andrew Denton, Jr. (July 15, 1924 – March 28, 2014) was a United States aviator and Rear Admiral, and also a United States Senator. He spent almost eight years as a Prisoner of War (PoW) in North Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He later wrote a book which became a movie about those experiences. He was born in Mobile, Alabama.
Denton died from complications of a heart ailment on March 28, 2014 at a hospice in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was 89 years old.[1]
