The second generation was previewed by the N7X concept in May 2021. It was later revealed in September.[6] [7] It was also developed in Honda R&D Asia-pacific.[8] The car started being produced in December and was put on sale in Indonesia in January 2022,[9] and also started being exported in March.[10] The second generation BR-V has a 1.5 liter VTEC petrol engine, and like the previous gen, it also has a 6-speed manual CVT transmission.
Markets[change]
The Honda BR-V is currently sold in Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Philipines, Vietnam, Pakistan (where the first gen is still made), Jamaica.[11] South Africa, and Mexico.[12] It was previously sold in India (where it was discontinued in 2020 due to weak sales and the BS6 emission standards),[13] and Malaysia (since it was replaced by the Honda WR-V).[14] [15]
