Hassan Sheikh Mohamud (Somali: Xasan Sheekh Maxamuud, Arabic: حسن شيخ محمود; born 29 November 1955) is a Somali politician who currently is the President of Somalia since 2022. He was president before from 2012 until 2017. He is the founder and current chairman the Union for Peace and Development Party.
