Hans (caste)

Hans is a Punjabi surname used by Arora caste in India. It originates from the Sanskrit hams, meaning swan or goose.^[1] It is also a Jat clan.^[2] The name can also be found amongst the Bhangi (Chuhra) and Mirasi castes.^[3]^[4]
