Hafei Motor Co., Ltd was a Chinese automobile brand headquartered in Harbin it was a Changan subsidiary it made Sedans MPVS mini vehicles small trucks and Vans for commercial use with many of its models being designed by Pininfarina it was first founded in 1980 and was owned by Aviation Industry Corporation of China.[2]

The first Hafei products were Suzuki Carry-based microvans and trucks sold under the Songhuajing brand named after the Songhua River and since 2002 they are sold under Hafei.[3] the company exported its products to 40 countries in 2009 Chang'an Automobile Group bought most of Hafei's assets after being prompted by a Chinese State policy that aimed at consolidating the domestic automotive industry.

In 2015 Changan said it would discontinue all Hafei production and convert its existent lines to serve Changan Ford (a joint venture between Changan and Ford).[4][5][6] and Hafei went defunct three years later in 2018
