Christchurch Hospital is a hospital in Christchurch, Dorset, England.

History[change]

The hospital started in a workhouse built in 1882 and in 1913 was used by the Red Cross during the First World War.[1][2]

The hospital joined the National Health Service in 1948. After the Royal Bournemouth Hospital opened in 1989,[3] a part of the Christchurch Hospital was sold in 1995.[4] It is now a rehabilitation centre.[5]

Services[change]

There are numerous services available including a hospital, dermatology and a Macmillan unit (palliative care).[6]
