C. N. R. Rao

Chintamani Nagesa Ramachandra Rao, FNA, FASc, FRS, FTWAS, HonFRSC, MAE, HonFInstP[1][2] (born 30 June 1934), is an Indian chemist. He has worked mainly in solid-state and structural chemistry. He has written around 1,774 research publications and 56 books.[3] He seen as a scientist who had won all possible awards in his field except the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.[4][5]
He was elected a foreign member of the Academia Europaea in 1997.[6]
