In the Jehovah's Witnesses religion the anointed are those witnesses who claim to be part of the 144,000 earthly people who expect to go to heaven upon death and becoming one of the kings and priests who come from the earth as described in the book of Revelation in the Bible. Witnesses teach that most people who die will be brought back to life to live forever as a physical person on a physical earth and only 144,000 people going to heaven upon dying.
