The 2034 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXVII Olympic Winter Games and marketed as Salt Lake City–Utah 2034, is an upcoming international multi-sport event scheduled to take place in Salt Lake City and other locations in Utah from 10 to 26 February 2034. The host region was announced at the 142nd IOC Session in Paris on 24 July 2024, two days before the start of the 2024 Summer Olympics. Salt Lake City also previously hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics.

Host selection[change]

Salt Lake City was confirmed as host of the 2034 Winter Olympics at the 142nd IOC Session on 24 July 2024 in Paris, France. Like the 2024 and 2028 Summer Olympics, and the 2030 and 2034 Winter Olympics were awarded simultaneously; the first to France and the second to the United States.
