The outcome of this request for deletion was to File:Symbol keep vote.svg Keep. While there hasn't been a huge amount of discussion I think there has been enough to show a general consensus (with at least lack of opposal from other users) to keep the category. It does appear that there may be specific articles that could be looked at further and if anyone thinks that is the case please feel free to do so. James (T|C) 19:37, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
Category:Mario series characters[change]
Purplebackpack89 (talk) has asked that this page be deleted because:
- The topics in this category need to be reorganized. Most of the articles in this category are hash.
Please discuss this possible deletion below, but keep in mind that you shouldn't vote on everything and that there may be options that are not just "keep" or "delete", such as merging.

Comment/Proposal: Most of the articles are unreferenced and contain a short description of the character along with a list of the games he/she/it was in. I propose to Keep Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, and Donkey Kong, and Redirect the rest to List of Mario series characters, which ought to bolster that page into being a page in its own right. - Keep - Most of these pages are notable, but nobody has gleaned the info from en.wiki yet. Creation and Reception info does exist for these characters, but it isn't in the articles at the moment. Redirecting will just prevent people from adding to it. Some new people don't know how to go back to a redirected article. Blake (Talk·Edits) 02:34, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
- On my TP, you had mentioned the ones with en articles, which are the ones I mentioned, plus Toad, Wario and Yoshi. That still leaves Waluigi, Diddy, Daisy, and some others to be merged Purplebackpack89 (talk) 02:39, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

- May I ask why? How are these characters you listed anymore notable then the others like Toad or Wario?
- Simple Wiki articles as of now - (Mario • Luigi • Peach • Toad • Bowser • Wario • Yoshi • Donkey Kong • Princess Daisy • Waluigi • Koopa troopa)
- English Wiki articles as of now - (Birdo • Bowser • Donkey Kong • Fawful • Goomba • Luigi • Mario • Princess Peach • Toad • Wario • Yoshi)
- Nobody but Mario and Toad have reception here. All these articles listed for En.Wiki all have reception (except for Donkey Kong and Luigi). Somebody just needs to grab some of it and bring it here. I have given up on simplifying articles, so I don't think it will be me. But these articles are notable, so you can not delete them. Blake (Talk·Edits) 14:36, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
