European barracuda

Sphyraena sphyraena, the European barracuda, is a species of barracuda found in the Mediterranean Basin and the Atlantic Ocean.

Description[change]

The European barracuda's body is long and compressed. It is a dark teal above and tan below. There is a chance of the fish having a yellow band. Sphyraena sphyraena also has scales covering both the margins of the preoperculum. They reach 30–60 cm in length.
