Bhangra dance originated as a celebration of the harvesting of Rabi crops in Sialkot, Punjab (Pakistan).

Vaisakh (Gurmukhi: ਵੈਸਾਖ, Shahmukhi: ویساکھ) is the second month of the Punjabi calendar and theNanakshahi calendar. This month is usually in April and May in the Gregorian calendar. It is when the Rabi crops are harvested in the Punjab region.[1]
