Location of the Conakry Region in Guinea

Conakry is a region in the west of Guinea. It is bordered by the Guinean region of Kindia and the Atlantic Ocean. The regional capital is the city of Conakry, which is also the national capital. As of the 2017 census, 2,317,376 people lived there. It has an area of 450 km2 (170 sq mi).
