Heavy Vehicles Factory

The Heavy Vehicles Factory is located in Avadi locality, Chennai metropolitan city. It was set up in the year 1961. It was set up by Ordanance Factories Board , Government of India. The function of this factory is to manufacture battlefield equipment. These include Vijayantas, T-79 Tanks. At present it manufactures India's main battle tank Arjun and T-90 tanks.
