Sumy Oblast (Ukrainian: Сумська область) is an oblast (province) of northeastern Ukraine. The administrative centre is Sumy. The population of Sumy Oblast was 1,124,000 in 2014.[1] Most of population has got Ukrainian origin, about 4% speaks East Ukrainian language.
