Charles E. Merrill Jr. (1920 – November 29, 2017) was an American educator, author, and philanthropist. He was best known for supporting historically black colleges and founding the Commonwealth School in Boston.

Merrill Jr. died on November 29, 2017, in Nowy Sącz, Poland at the age of 97.[1]
