The eastern quoll (Dasyurus viverrinus, formerly known as the eastern native cat) is a species of quoll, a carnivorous (meat-eating) marsupial (pouched mammal) living in Tasmania. It is thought they should be re-introduced to mainland Australia, where they became extinct.
