J. Whyatt Mondesire (October 10, 1949 – October 4, 2015)[1] was an American journalist and civil rights activist. He was a reporter at The Philadelphia Inquirer during the early career. He now owns the Philadelphia Sun newspaper. He was president of the Philadelphia branch of the NAACP for over ten years.

Mondesire died in Philadelphia from a brain aneurysm, aged 65.[2]
