Buck Rogers is a fictional character in American sci-fi. He was created by Philip Francis Nowlan. He first appeared as Anthony Rogers in the August 1928 issue of the pulp magazine Amazing Stories. The Buck Rogers comic strip first appeared in newspapers on January 7, 1929. Since then the character has appeared in movie serials (played by Buster Crabbe), television series, and other forms of pop entertainment.
