Youngstown State University is a public university in Youngstown, Ohio. The university has about 15,194 students. It was founded in 1908. The current president of the university is Bill Johnson, a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Sports[change]

The athletics teams of the university are called the Penguins. They have 16 varsity teams and they compete in the Horizon League and the Missouri Valley Football Conference for football.
