Ballum is a village on the western half of the island of Ameland and the smallest of the total of four villages on the island. It is on an island in the north of the Netherlands.

It also holds Ameland airport in the northwest of Ballum.

The village has a population of 350.

Eelke Bakker, oldest living man in the Benelux. Died 2020, aged 109.
